Dear Residents,

Operation Festive has been launched this week across Newham & Waltham Forest. This is a community focused initiative, where all 40 Wards have each selected a single issue, and the entire policing staff of the NE BCU, and our local authority partners are working towards solving a community problem during an intensive week of action.

These range from reducing Violence, Burglary & Anti-Social Behaviour to engagement with our young people in our schools – as well as reminding all of our residents that despite looming lockdowns and restrictions – the Metropolitan Police are here working for you 24/7 and 365

You may see an increased police presence in your area this week, so feel free to speak to our officers about your concerns or just to say hello!

This is part of an ongoing commitment to our communities, and future events will be driven by priorities identified by our Ward Panels, Crime Data Analysis, and Public Surveys.

Due to the high COVID 19 infection rate in London, we will also be engaging with our Communities, Businesses & partners to support the recent Tier 3 restrictions, and ensure your safety.
